Mr. Valdes, a Partner of The Firm leads the Energy, Administrative Law and Public Procurement Practices.
He provides counselling in several areas related to Hydrocarbons and Power Industries. He has represented national and foreign clients in all type of regulatory affairs and in the development of Infrastructure projects.
Among his clients are several prestigious companies and governmental agencies such as CEMEX, Gas Industrial de Monterrey, Consejo Coordinador Empresarial, Ternium, Techgen, Kaltex, BayWa Re, New Fortress Energy, The Ministry of Communications and Transportation, The Federal Electricity Comission (CFE), and Grupo Empresarial México.
He served as Executive Secretary of the Energy Regulatory Comission (CRE) and Head of Legal Services of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS). In addition, he was Head of the Legal Unit of the National Worker´s Housing Fund (INFONAVIT) in the State of Mexico.

Postgraduate studies on Comparative Law at The Ibero-American University (IBERO), Mexico City, 1999.
Specialized Diploma in American and International Law at Southwestern Legal Foundation (SMU) in 1998.
