Hernández

Ximena Hernández joined the Firm in 2015 as an Associate. Her experience is focused in Corporate Law and Real Estate transactions, a practice which includes the acquisition of mixed-use developments (e.g., commercial, industrial, and touristic), contributions to FIBRAS, and a special emphasis on joint ventures, contributions to trusts, and leases in the industrial sector. She also provides counseling to real estate developers and landlords in different types of real estate operations (e.g., industrial, commercial, and residential).

Ximena also focuses her practice on legal and compliance matters, including data protection and privacy, AML and anticorruption regulations. She has been involved in the representation of several companies in the crafting of data protection policies and procedures and has conducted due diligence on privacy and compliance matters in mergers and acquisitions of companies in the technology, e-commerce, gaming, manufacturing, consumer goods and pharmaceutical industries, among others. She has advised clients in the development, implementation, and training of different types of compliance policies and manuals.

She obtained her Law Degree (J.D.) from the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Mexico City in 2005 and obtained her Master´s Degree LL.M in International Law in Bolsa de Madrid in association with Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 2006. She studied a course in trade contracts in Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México in 2009 and another course on real estate in Escuela Libre de Derecho in 2010. She obtained a Diploma in Ethics and International Corporate Compliance by Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in 2021. She completed a course in corporate governance for companies by IMECAF in 2021. She is currently studying for her LL.M. in Compliance at the IMF School of Universidad de Nebrija.
