ZAYAS

OMAR ZAYAS joined the firm as an Associate in 2011. His practice focuses on Labor Law and throughout his career, he has specialized in litigation and protection of individual and collective labor disputes. He has represented important transnational companies in ordinary and special proceedings, strikes and collective disputes brought before labor authorities, both in local and federal matters, throughout the Mexican Republic.

He has advised clients from various industries in the design and operation of downsizing strategies, as well as in the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements with unions and the modification of labor conditions. He has extensive experience in amparo proceedings in this area before Collegiate Circuit Courts, District Courts and the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation.

He holds a Law Degree (J.D.) from Universidad Iberoamericana, in Mexico City, in 2002. He was assistant professor of Labor Law at Universidad Iberoamericana (2007-2009).
