Lucía Laganá Pacheco joined the Firm as an Associate in 2021. Throughout her career she has advised foreign and national companies and worked on corporate finance, joint venture projects, project finance, debt and corporate restructuring. She has also overseen real estate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and foreign investment.

She has been involved in the high-profile proceeding regarding AHMSA suspension of payments and has also represented PGIM Real Estate in the concurso proceedings of URBI and GEO and in the restructuring of ViveICA, a subsidiary of ICA.

Lucia worked as a Foreign Associate at the New York office of Becker, Glynn, Muffly, Chassin and Hosinski LLP (2009-2011), where she participated in a wide range of corporate matters including domestic and cross-border financings and mergers. She also participated in the representation of unilateral and multilateral development finance institutions in corporate and project finance transactions and equity investments in Latin America and other emerging markets.

Lucia obtained her Law Degree (J.D.) from Universidad Iberoamericana, in Mexico City, and she received her LL.M. from the Northwestern University School of Law in 2006. In addition, she received a Certificate in Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management in 2009.

She has been recognized by The Legal 500 as “Rising Star” in Bankruptcy and Restructuring and by Chambers Latin America as an “Associate to Watch” in Bankruptcy and Restructuring.
